عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رضي الله عنه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: «الطُّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ، وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ تَمْلَآنِ - أَوْ تَمْلَأُ - مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ، وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ، كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو، فَبَايِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا»
Abu malik Al-Ash'ari narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
1. Purity is half of faith. 2. Praise be to Allah; it fills the scales. 3. Glorification and praise fill what is between the heavens and the earth. 4. Prayer is light. 5. Charity is proof. 6. Patience is illumination 7. The Quran is proof for you or against you. 8. Every person awakens; so, they either redeem or ruin themselves.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned some of the doors of goodness that will weigh heavily on the scale of a servant on the Day of Judgment. And he mentioned that the destinies of people are in their own hands, so there are those who save themselves and others who destroy themselves.
