عن عبدِ الله بنِ مُعاويةَ رضي الله عنه ، قال: قال النبيُّ ﷺ:«ثلاثٌ مَن فعَلهنَّ فقد طَعِمَ طَعْمَ الإيمانِ:مَن عبَدَ اللهَ وحدَه، وأنه لا إلهَ إلا اللهُ،وأعطى زكاةَ ماله طيِّبةً بها نفْسُهُ، رافدةً عليه كلَّ عام،ولا يُعطي الهَرِمةَ، ولا الدَّرِنةَ، ولا المريضةَ، ولا الشَّرَطَ اللئيمةَ؛ولكنْ مِن وسَطِ أموالكم؛ فإنَّ اللهَ لم يَسألْكم خيرَه، ولم يأمُرْكم بشرِّه»
‘Abdullāh ibn Mu‘āwiyah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
1. Whoever does three things will experience the taste of faith. 2. To worship God alone [believing] that there is no deity other than God; 3. To give the zakat due on his property willingly and cheerfully, as it becomes due every year; 4. Not to give [in zakat] an old animal, or one with scabies, or a sickly one, or a small unwanted one; 5. But choose from among the average of your property. God has neither required you to give the best, nor told you to choose the worst.
Related by Abu Dāwūd, 1582.

‘Abd Allah Ibn Mou’awiya, qu’Allah a agréé, rapporte que le Prophète a dit : ‘‘ Il y a trois choses qui font goûter à celui qui les met en pratique la douceur de la foi : Celui qui adore Allah seul et reconnaît qu’il n’existe pas de divinité hormis Allah, qui s’acquitte de l’aumônelégale de bon cœur et queson âme l’y incite chaque année, et ne donne pas la bête vieille, sale, malade ou laide qui n’a aucune valeur, mais donne plutôt ce qui est dans la moyenne de vos biens, car Allah n’a pas exigé de vous les meilleurs de vos biens ni les plus mauvais ’’
Dari Abdullah bin Muawiyah , beliau berkata, Nabi bersabda, “Ada tiga perkara, siapa yang mengerjakannya akan merasakan manisnya iman, yaitu: Orang yang hanya menyembah Allah semata dan bahwasanya tidak ada Tuhan yang berhak disembah kecuali Allah; Menyerahkan zakat hartanya secara sukarela, dirinya semangat untuk melakukannya setiap tahun; Tidak memberikan yang sudah tua, kudisan, atau berpenyakit, atau kualitas yang terburuk; Tetapi dari pertengahan harta kalian, karena sesungguhnya Allah tidak meminta kalian memberikan yang paling bagus, tidak pula memerintahkan mengeluarkan yang paling buruk.”
Kutoka kwa Abdullah bin Muawiyah Mwenyezi Mungu awe radhi naye amesema: Mtume, rehma na Amani zimshukie, amesema: “Mambo matatu atakaye yafanya ameonja ladha ya imani. Mwenye kumuabudu Mwenyezi Mungu peke yake, na kwamba hapana mungu mwingine ila yeye Mwenyezi Mungu. Akatoa zaka ya mali yake kwa niya njema kutoka moyoni mwake, haliyakuwa nafsi yake inamuamuru kufanya hivyo kila mwaka. Hatoi mnyama aliyezeeka, wala mwenye ugonjwa wa ngozi, wala mgonjwa, wala dhaifu; Lakini toeni za kati na kati katika mali zenu; Mwenyezi Mungu hakukuombeni vilivyo bora zaidi, wala hakukuamrisheni mtoe vibaya.”
