عَنْ أَنَسِ بْن مَالِكٍ رضي الله عنه، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ: «كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ خَطَّاءٌ، وَخَيْرُ الخَطَّائِينَ التَّوَّابُونَ»
145 - The importance of repentance
Anas ibn Mālik narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
1. Every human being is prone to error,
2. and the best of those who err are the ones who turn to God in repentance.
Summary of Meaning
Every human being commits sins and acts of disobedience. None is infallible other than the prophets. However, the best of people is those who turn to God in repentance shortly after they make an error.
