عن أبي سُليمانَ مالكِ بنِ الحُوَيْرثِ رضي الله عنه، قال:أَتَينا النبيَّﷺ ونحن شَبَبةٌ مُتقارِبون، فأقمْنا عنده عِشرين ليلةً، فظنَّ أنَّا اشتَقْنا أهْلَنا، وسألَنا عمَّن ترَكْنا في أهلنا، فأخبرناه، وكان رفيقًا رحيمًا، فقال: «ارْجِعوا إلى أهلِيكم،فعلِّموهم ومُروهم،وصلُّوا كما رأيتموني أُصلِّي،وإذا حضَرتِ الصلاةُ، فلْيُؤذِّنْ لكم أحدُكم، ثم لِيَؤُمَّكم أكبَرُكم»
Mālik ibn al-Ḥuwayrith narrated:
1. We came to the Prophet, a group of young men of roughly the same age, and stayed with him twenty nights. When he felt that we missed our people, he asked us about the families we had left behind and we told him. 2. God’s Messenger was compassionate and kind. He said: “Go back to your people and stay with them, 3. Teach them and instruct them. 4. Pray as you have seen me pray. 5. When prayer is due, let one of you say the call to prayer [i.e. the adhān], and let your eldest lead the prayer”.
Related by al-Bukhari, 6008; Muslim, 674.

Abou Soulaymane Malik Ibn Al-Houwayrith, qu’Allah a agréé, rapporte que le Messager d’Allah a dit : Nous nous rendîmes auprès du Prophète alors que nous étions des jeunes d’ âge proche. Nous séjournâmes chez lui vingt nuits durant et il devina que nos familles nous manquaient. Après nous avoir demandé qui nous avions laissé derrière nous, nous lui répondîmes. 2. Comme il était doux et miséricordieux, il dit : ‘‘ Retournez auprès de vos familles, 3. instruisez-les, ordonnez-leur [d’accomplir ce qui doit être accompli], 4. priez comme vous ma’ vez vu le faire 5. et lorsque vient l’heure de la prière, que l’un de vous fasse l’appel et que le plus âgé d’entre vous la dirige ’’
Dari Abu Sulaiman Malik bin Al-Huwairis , beliau berkata, “Kami mendatangi Nabi , dan (pada masa itu) kami adalah pemuda yang berdekatan (secara usia). Kami tinggal bersama beliau selama 20 malam. Kemudian beliau mengira kami telah rindu kepada keluarga kami. Beliau bertanya tentang siapa saja yang kami tinggalkan dari keluarga kami. Kemudian kami memberitahukan kepada beliau. Beliau adalah seorang penyayang lagi lembut. Maka beliau bersabda, ‘Kembalilah kepada keluarga kalian! Ajarkan kepada mereka, dan perintahkan kepada mereka (untuk melaksanakan syariat Islam) Dan shalatlah seperti kalian melihat aku shalat. Jika sudah masuk waktu shalat, maka hendaklah salah seorang dari kalian mengumandangkan azan. Kemudian hendaklah orang yang paling tua di antara kalian menjadi imam untuk kalian.”
Kutoka kwa Abu Sulaiman Malik bin Al-Huwairith, Mwenyezi Mungu amuwie radhi, amesema: 1. Tulikuja kwa Mtume (Rehma na amani ziwe juu yake) tukiwa vijana tukikaribiana, tukakaa kwake siku ishirini, akadhani tumetamani familia zetu, akatuuliza kuhusu tuliowaacha katika familia zetu, tukamwambia. 2. na Mtume (Rehma na amani ziwe juu yake) Alikuwa ni mpole mwenye huruma, akasema: “Rudini kwa ahali zenu. 3. Wafundisheni na waelekezeni. 4. na swalini kama mlivyoniona nikiswali, 5. Na ukifika wakati wa Swala, mmoja wenu aadhini, kisha awaongoze mkubwa wenu”
