26 - The closure of life’s deeds

Abu Hurayrah narrated that God’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said:

1. The Last Hour will not arrive until the sun has risen from the west. 2. When it rises from the west all mankind will believe. 3. At that time ‘to believe will be of no avail to any human being who did not believe before, or who did not put its faith to good use’.

Summary of Meaning

The Prophet (peace be upon him) mentions that a major sign of the arrival of the Last Hour is that the sun will rise from the west. When this happens, it will be too late to repent of one’s sins. Repentance will not be acceptable from anyone after seeing this sign.
